In Jordan we visited a lot of the historical sites all over the country before returning to Aqaba along the Dead Sea.

From Suakin, Sudan Jasper took the ferry to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He then drove to Aqaba where we were reunited.

From Gondar we crossed the border to Sudan and from there went straight to Khartoum. After arranging our visa there, Steef flew to Amman and Jasper drove to Suakin (close to Port Sudan) and took the ferry - leaving the African continent after a good six months and little over 30.000km.

From Nairobi
From Nairobi we went straight to Ethiopia. There we visited the Omo valley in the south-west, before heading to Addis Abeba via the Rift valley lakes. After two short trips from Addis we drove north via Lalibela and Gonder to Sudan.

 

Due to a problem with the clutch master cylinder we decided to skip Uganda but head back to Mwanza in Tanzania and from there east through Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

In Zambia we first went to the north-west, then back to Lusaka and on to the nort-east where we crossed to Malawi, and after visiting the south went up along the lake.

In Mozambique we decided not to continue north, but to avoid the political unrest and instead go west to South Africa. From there we crossed into Zimbabwe via Beitbridge.

After having our car repaired in Swakopmund we left Namibia in the south and drove west towards Johannesburg. From there we went through Swaziland, then north into Mozambique.
Through Namibia: from Windhoek to the Sossusvlei.Then via Swakopmund towards Brandberg and Twyfelfontein where we had the accident (marked by the blue flag).
